About badger hunting
Badger hunting is primarily done as stand hunting at the sett during dusk. The badger is nocturnal and emerges from its sett at twilight to feed. Sit quietly on a stand near the entrance, and you can get a clean shot.
Driving with a dog that enters the sett is another method, but it requires specially trained dogs and is more demanding.
Badger meat is surprisingly good and can be prepared as a game roast.

Distribution
Grevlingen finnes i lavlandet over hele Sør-Norge og langs kysten til Trøndelag. Den er vanligst i kulturlandskapet i Østlandet og Sørlandet.
Terrain
Løvskog og blandingsskog med jordbunn egnet for graving. Grevlingen graver store, komplekse hi med flere innganger. Den trives i kulturlandskapet nær åkre og enger.
Identification
Grå med svart og hvit stripet ansikt. Kort, kraftig kropp med korte bein.
Hunting Tips
Finn hiet og sett deg på post i god tid før solnedgang. Grevlingen er forutsigbar i sine rutiner.
