About hooded crow hunting

Crow hunting has seen a revival in recent years, largely thanks to equipment like decoys and hides developed for the purpose. It is a classic pest control hunt that also provides good shooting practice.

The hunt is done as stand hunting with a stuffed decoy, typically an owl as a sentinel. Crows come in to mob the owl, and the hunter takes them from the hide. The method is effective and can produce high numbers.

Crow hunting is allowed over a long season and is a great way to keep your shooting skills sharp through the winter.
