About common raven hunting
The raven is Norway's largest corvid and impressive in flight. Hunting has a tradition in reindeer herding areas where the raven can take lambs and reindeer calves.
Hunting is typically done as stand hunting over bait. The raven is extremely intelligent and cautious, and it takes good planning to outsmart it.
The raven is protected in many European countries but is huntable in Norway. Respect local traditions and management considerations.

Distribution
Ravnen finnes over hele Norge, fra kysten til fjellet. Den er mest vanlig i fjellstrøk og langs kysten i Nord-Norge.
Terrain
Fjell, kyst og skogslandskap. Ravnen er en allsidig fugl som finnes i de fleste naturtyper, gjerne nær reindrift og husdyrhold.
Identification
Helt svart med kraftig nebb og kilformet stjert. Mye større enn kråka.
